What is it?
JOLOF Kids is an innovative, fun and 100% screen-free educational box set, designed to reconnect diaspora children and multilingual families with their roots. It includes an interactive audio player and double-sided illustrated cards to discover 220 words and expressions across 12 essential themes: animals, numbers, the body, food, the home, family, nature, days and time, school, directions, emotions and everyday expressions.
What is it for?
Beyond learning the Wolof language and celebrating the culture, this game powerfully stimulates key cognitive skills:
Memory and concentration: through "Memory Mode" (listen, remove the card and say the word in the different languages) and progressive learning modes.
Active listening and pronunciation: children listen to Wolof audio recorded with six different voices, absorb the sounds and develop their language skills.
Intergenerational and family bonds: designed for 1 or more players, it encourages shared family moments, especially with the "Family Challenge" mode (miming, translations and sentences in Wolof).

How does it work?
Simple for little ones and grown-ups alike:
1. Turn on the interactive player.
2. Insert a theme card into the slot: the word is spoken automatically in Wolof!
3. Press the repeat button if needed, or flip or change cards to progress at your own pace (Discovery, Learning, Memory or Challenge modes).

🎮 4 ways to play
1. Discovery (ages 2–5): the child listens to the word, repeats it in Wolof and points to the matching picture.
2. Learning: the player listens to the word in Wolof and must find and read the matching translation in French or English.
3. Memory Mode: listen to the word, remove the card, then say the word in all 3 languages without looking.
4. Family Challenge:
Round 1: mime the Wolof word for your team to guess.
Round 2: listen to the word in Wolof and give its translation in French or English.
Round 3: use a chosen word in a Wolof sentence.
Each correct answer is worth 1 point, with 45 seconds per turn: the team with the most points wins.

- Family sharing: involve parents, grandparents and loved ones to enrich cultural exchanges.
- Daily practice: use the words you've learned in everyday conversations to make them stick.
